The Black Stars of Ghana will open their training camp in Nagoya today, Wednesday, November 12, as preparations commence for their international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
Head coach Otto Addo has named a 22-man squad for the encounters. Ghana will face Japan in the Kirin Cup on Friday, November 14, at Toyota Stadium, before travelling to Seoul to take on South Korea on November 18.
Key players, including Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Ernest Nuamah, Alexander Djiku, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, will miss the trip due to various reasons.
In their absence, Addo has assembled a blend of youth and experience, offering opportunities to several emerging talents eager to impress on the international stage.
The players reported to camp on Tuesday ahead of the two fixtures, which are expected to provide a strong test of Ghana’s progress as the team continues to build cohesion and assess squad depth in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
