The Black Stars have shifted base to Stuttgart, where they are regrouping swiftly after Friday’s heavy loss to Austria.

Ghana endured a difficult outing in their opening international friendly of the month, falling 5-1 to the European side at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna.

The result marked a stark setback in their preparations, despite a competitive first-half display.

Attention now turns to Monday’s high-profile friendly against Germany, set for March 30, with kick-off scheduled at 18:45 GMT. The fixture is part of Ghana’s build-up towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Against Austria, Otto Addo’s men held their own for much of the first half, but the game tilted decisively after the interval as the hosts took control.

Defensive frailties were exposed, with Austria striking four times in the second half.

Captain Jordan Ayew netted Ghana’s only goal, though it served as little consolation in a match that highlighted areas in need of urgent improvement.

Now in Stuttgart, the squad is expected to step up preparations with training sessions lined up over the weekend as they ready themselves for a stern test against the four-time world champions.

The meeting with Germany presents another opportunity for Addo’s side to respond, refine their approach, and regain momentum ahead of next year’s global showpiece in North America.
