Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, is confident the team is ready for revenge when they host Comoros in the final World Cup qualifier fixture in Accra on Sunday, October 12.
The Black Stars are on the verge of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup after a 5-0 victory over the Central African Republic and will need just a point to confirm their place at the tournament.
Comoros has been a challenging opponent for the Black Stars since their first encounter in 2021 at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Comoros Island is the only team to have beaten Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers. However, the 34-year-old has described the game as a celebratory match, and the Stars should do all they can to win.
“They have been a thorn in our flesh and we want to teach them that we are a football nation more than them,” he told Channel One TV.
“It will be a very exciting game, a celebration game, and we are going to beat them,” he added.
Ghana sits top of Group I with 22 points and has a goal difference of 8 ahead of second-place Madagascar.
