Black Queens relocate to Siaïda ahead of 2024 WAFCON

-

Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, have moved their base from Benslimane to Siaïda as they gear up for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The relocation follows the conclusion of their pre-tournament training camp, where the team spent two weeks sharpening their tactics and improving fitness levels.

During this period, they played three warm-up matches against Malawi, Benin, and Nigeria.

With preparations now complete, the Black Queens are fully focused on their WAFCON campaign, aiming to make a strong comeback after missing the last few editions.

The 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Morocco from July 5 to July 26.

Ghana has been drawn into Group C alongside defending champions South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania.

This marks the Black Queens’ first appearance at the continental tournament since 2018.
