The Black Queens settled into camp in Birmingham on Thursday as they began preparations for their high-profile international friendly against England’s Lionesses.

Sixteen players were present on day one, kicking off an important training phase under head coach Kim Lars Björkegren.

Their first session took place at Aston Villa’s Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, a top-tier facility that provided an ideal setting for the team’s early drills.

Björkegren put the group through a lively opening workout, emphasising sharp passing sequences, quick transitions, and early cohesion among the players already in camp.

Four additional players are expected to arrive later tonight, bringing the squad to 20 ahead of Friday’s session.

Ghana will face the Lionesses on December 2, 2025, at St. Mary’s Stadium in Southampton — a key test as part of the build-up to the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in March 2026.
