Ghana’s Black Princesses have returned home after their campaign at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup ended with another group-stage exit.
The Black Princesses opened the tournament with a 3-0 defeat to Ecuador before reviving their hopes with an impressive 3-1 victory over South Korea.
However, a heavy 4-0 loss to France in their final Group E match ended any chance of reaching the knockout stage.
Ghana finished the group phase with three points from three matches, a tally that was not enough to secure qualification for the last 16.
It means the Black Princesses have now failed to progress beyond the group stage in each of their eight consecutive appearances at the biennial tournament, extending a run that dates back to their debut at the competition.
