Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani GoldStars, Akwasi Adu, has stated that the club’s primary objective is to reach the group stage — the “money zone” — of the CAF Champions League in their debut appearance.
The Miners secured historic qualification to Africa’s premier club competition after being crowned champions of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
Ghanaian clubs have faced challenges progressing to the lucrative stages of the competition in recent years, but Adu believes his side is learning from past efforts to avoid similar setbacks.

“We have started talking to teams that have participated in the CAF Champions League to share their experiences with us,” he told Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show.
“We have had enough information on what we have to do and will do exactly that.
“As a team, we have our target, and that is to play in the money zone. We know it will not come easily, but we will do proper recruitment to ensure that we achieve our aim,” he added.
As part of their build-up to the continental campaign, Bibiani GoldStars are scheduled to face FA Cup winners Asante Kotoko in the Champion of Champions match on August 31.
