Bibiani GoldStars clinch 2025 GHALCA Top 4 title in unbeaten run

Bibiani GoldStars head coach Frimpong Manso has expressed his delight after leading his side to victory in the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 tournament.

The Miners enjoyed an unbeaten run in their debut campaign, clinching the title after three impressive performances. They opened with a dramatic 2-1 win over Asante Kotoko, edged Hearts of Oak on penalties following a 2-2 draw, and wrapped up their campaign with another shootout victory against Heart of Lions after a 1-1 stalemate.

Reflecting on the achievement, the former Ghana international could not hide his joy.

“Obviously, I should feel happy, and now you can see the whole team and everybody is happy,” he said.

Manso admitted that Hearts of Oak had been one of the strongest sides in the tournament but stressed that his focus was solely on lifting the trophy.

“We were expecting very good opposition from Kotoko, but to be honest, Hearts of Oak have been playing well in this tournament. For me, all I wanted was for us to win the cup. So whatever it would take for us to win the cup, I wouldn’t mind. That’s why I stayed calm while they were playing,” Manso added.

With the GHALCA Top 4 title secured, GoldStars will now shift focus to the Champion of Champions clash against Asante Kotoko at the DUNs Park, before turning their attention to the upcoming domestic season and their maiden appearance in the 2025/26 CAF Champions League.
