Benjamin Asare confident of 2026 World Cup qualification

-

Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare remains upbeat about Ghana’s chances of securing a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars currently sit atop Group I with 15 points following consecutive victories over Chad and Madagascar in March.

With four matches remaining in the qualification campaign, hopes are high as the team prepares to regroup in September.

Speaking to Pan African Football, the Hearts of Oak shot-stopper expressed his belief that Ghana can bounce back from their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

“It is our aim to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup because we missed out on the Africa Cup of Nations, and I am confident that Ghana will qualify for the World Cup,” the Hearts of Oak goalie told Pan African Football.

Ghana will travel to face Chad and later welcome Mali in the Matchday 7 and 8 fixtures. They will then complete their qualifying journey with games against Comoros and the Central African Republic.
