Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara, has urged Ghanaians to remain patient with the Black Queens following their opening defeat at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Ghana began their Group C campaign with a 2-0 loss to defending champions South Africa on Monday.
Despite the setback, Sannie Daara remains optimistic about the team’s prospects and believes the squad is still developing.
“The Black Queens are a work in progress, and so losing against South Africa is not an issue. But against Mali, I believe we can win that game,” he told Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show.
The crucial encounter against Mali is scheduled for today at the Stade Municipal de Berkane, with kickoff set for 16:00 GMT.
