
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, describing him as a pioneering innovator and a selfless servant of Ghana.
In a statement, Dr. Bawumia paid glowing tribute to the founder and leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission, noting that Apostle Safo’s contributions went far beyond the pulpit.
According to him, the late Apostle inspired an industrial spirit among Ghanaians through his indigenous innovations and left an enduring legacy through numerous philanthropic works.
The Vice President also recalled his personal encounters with Apostle Safo, describing him as an open and welcoming personality who shared lasting words of encouragement and wisdom.
“On behalf of my family, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family, the Kristo Asafo Mission, and all who mourn this irreparable loss,” Dr. Bawumia said.
He further prayed that Apostle Safo’s legacy would continue to inspire future generations to embrace local solutions, serve their communities, and put Ghana first.
Apostle Kwadwo Safo passed away on Thursday, September 11, as confirmed by his family. Messages of condolence have since poured in, with mourners thronging his family home.
