The National Council of Parent-Teacher Associations (NCPTA), in collaboration with Celltell Networks Ltd, has launched a digital education initiative at Awudome Senior High School in Tsito, Volta Region, aimed at bridging the digital divide in education.

The initiative, dubbed “Bridging the Divide,” includes the provision of free WiFi internet connectivity and the distribution of smart devices such as laptops, tablets, and Android phones to students of the school.

Speaking to Adom News, the National President of NCPTA, Mr. Christian Aikins Atsu, stated that the initiative is designed to enhance teaching and learning through technology.

He explained that access to smart gadgets and internet connectivity will enable students to access online educational materials, conduct research, and stay connected with teachers and peers.

Dr. Prince Kofi Kludjeson, Chairman of Celltell Networks Ltd, emphasized that the partnership with NCPTA seeks to empower Ghanaian students with the digital tools and skills necessary to thrive in a technology-driven world.

On behalf of the school, Headmaster Mr. Courage Meteku expressed his profound appreciation to NCPTA and Celltell Networks for their generous gesture. He assured that the school would take proper care of the devices to ensure they are used effectively for their intended purpose.
