“Power can trick you and so it is important that you swallow your individual ego and pride in order to move the party forward. They need to be careful. NPP needs a solid and united party”, he reminded party members gathered at the Koforidua Technical University campus.

Former President Kufuor indicated that the amendment of the party’s constitution serves as a basis of bonding within the party and as a platform to renew commitment to the people.

He further reminded delegates that the meeting of delegates is for a very fundamental assignment which is to amend aspects of the party’s constitution, adding that “the power is there for our taking if only we put our house together from now on.”

Mr Kufuor said the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition is one of tolerance with no fear for debates, thus delegates and the members of the party should put all that tolerance to work and allow the people to decide on which way to go.
