The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has responded to the release of a list of some 51 persons by her main opponents, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as being names of ‘family and friends’ of President Akufo-Addo.
National Youth Organiser of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, who reacted to the list on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem said the appointments of the names contained on the list were made on the basis of competence.

The NDC just held a press conference to denigrate accomplished men. Where were you when these competent men you mentioned were making it big in life? You refused to think through your presser before wasting the time of Ghanaians Nana B, as he is popularly called, said.

According to the NPP Youth Organizer, most of the names presented by the NDC National Communications Officer were those of people who have accomplished a lot in their private lives and were not serving under President Akufo-Addo to milk the state.
He posited further that Ghanaians knew what Akufo-Addo stood for, especially when he has been consistent throughout his political life.

Nana B threatened to also come up with a list of family relations the NDC government gave appointment to, adding that Mr Mahama as a president gave his brother Ibrahim Mahama 80% of the country’s known bauxite deposits.
