
The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a Lebanese national, Omar Mikati, at his East Legon residence on Friday, June 20, 2025.
Mr Mikati, 58, was found dead in a pool of blood at his home.
A police crime scene team collected forensic evidence, revealing that the attackers fled with his Samsung phone, leaving behind two iPhones and a GCB ATM card bearing the name Paul Twumasi Ankrah.
Police later arrested Ankrah at Samsam Medie, who then implicated his accomplice, Asiedu Henning, also known as Nana Kofi Anum.
Henning was arrested on July 2 in Kutunse and led officers to recover a knife allegedly used in the attack.
Both suspects have been remanded by the Adabraka District Court 1 and are scheduled to reappear on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
