Asutifi North DCE assures traders of improved sanitation and security at Kenyasi market

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asutifi North, Hafiz Dauda, has assured traders at the Kenyasi Market Square that swift measures will be taken to address sanitation and security challenges.

During a visit by the Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr. Dauda admitted that the absence of proper toilet and washroom facilities has led to poor sanitary conditions, posing health risks to both traders and customers.

He also highlighted theft and petty crimes at the market as pressing concerns. “We are putting measures in place to improve security at the market and protect the property of traders,” he said.

“As the district capital, Kenyasi deserves a modern marketplace. The assembly is receiving the necessary resources from the central government, and a befitting market facility will be delivered,” they assured.
