National Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called on Ghanaians to focus on offering prayers and encouragement to strengthen President John Dramani Mahama and his government, rather than flooding the nation with more prophecies.
Speaking at the Muslim funeral rites of the late Alhaji Mohammed Muniru — one of the eight victims of last Wednesday’s fatal helicopter crash — Mr. Nketia reminded the nation that nothing happens without the knowledge of God, whether called Allah or the Almighty.
While acknowledging that prophecies have their place, he cautioned that they should not dominate the national conversation at a time when unity and resilience are crucial.
He urged citizens to channel their energy into supporting the country’s leadership in working toward healing and progress, describing the loss of the eight as a moment to reflect and confront Ghana’s challenges together.
