The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has credited the party’s grassroots structures and strong support from the Ashanti Region for its recent electoral victory.
Speaking during his “Thank You Tour” of the region, Mr. Asiedu Nketia said elections are won at the branch level, praising party members for their hard work.
He noted that a strategic division of the Ashanti Region into five operational zones, with dedicated teams deployed across Kumasi constituencies, played a key role in securing what he described as a historic performance for the NDC in the region.
“For the first time in the history of Ashanti politics, we crossed the threshold,” he said.
He expressed gratitude to branch members, regional executives, and supporters for their efforts.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia also urged party members to reward hardworking individuals during ongoing branch reorganisation exercises.
He stressed the need to retain committed executives to sustain future electoral success.
