The suspects have been identified as Salifu Adamu (alias Scorpion), 25; Abdul Latif (alias Bullet), 20; Samed Abdulai, 40; and Ali Mustapha, 30.

Police say the victim, Aliu Mohammed, was robbed of gold, a mobile phone, cash, a pump-action gun, and his Toyota Camry Spider (GR 8009-15) during the attack on December 8, 2025.

Addressing the media in Bekwai on Friday, December 12, the Regional Commander, DCOP Joseph Hammond Nyaaba, explained that police officers responded swiftly and traced the victim’s abandoned vehicle to Ofoase Kokoben township, but the robbers had escaped before their arrival.

He noted that further intelligence gathering led to the arrest of two of the suspects, Salifu Adamu (Scorpion) and Abdul Latif (Bullet), at the Tweapease Police checkpoint around 6 p.m. on December 9, 2025.

DCOP Nyaaba added that interrogations subsequently led to the arrest of the remaining two suspects, Samed Abdulai and Ali Mustapha, at Tweapease around 8 a.m. on December 10, 2025.

The Regional Commander cautioned criminals to desist from unlawful activities and urged the public to support the police to ensure a peaceful and crime-free Christmas.
