Asempa FM’s Paapa Ayekoo celebration once again brought to light the exceptional contributions of men, with a heartfelt focus on thanking fathers for their selfless roles in family and society.
The event kicked off with a notable initiative by the Executive Prostate Center, which organized a complimentary health screening for fathers from all over the country in honor of this year’s Father’s Day.
This initiative aimed not only to promote health awareness but also to highlight the importance of preventive care among men.
Following the health screening, the excitement continued with a lively cooking competition titled Daddy Too Can Cook. This contest aimed to showcase the culinary skills of fathers, drawing attention to their creativity in the kitchen. Among the contestants were two popular presenters from Adom FM, Mick 2 and OPD, who teamed up with enthusiastic fathers.
The competition transformed the kitchen into a vibrant celebration of heritage and flavor, as the men skillfully combined simple ingredients from Tasty Tom to create delicious dishes that reflected the rich cultural diversity of Ghanaian cuisine.
The event was elevated by a soulful performance from the Shakers Band, who changed the atmosphere with energetic music and entertainment.
In a touching gesture of appreciation, each honored father received thoughtfully curated gifts and hampers, generously provided by various sponsors, including Franko Phones, Woodin Fabrics, Tasty Tom Tomato Paste, DBS Industries, Vitamilk, among others.
These contributions ensured that the men felt cherished and valued for their contributions to family and society.
Highlife legend Samuel Owusu took center stage, captivating fans with his timeless hits, including Yenka Wo Nti No, Mempe Me Ho Asem, and Kokosakyi.
His performance had the crowd singing along and dancing, creating an energetic and joyful conclusion to an event that truly honored the spirit of fatherhood.
