Kwesi Appiah, member of Asante Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee (IMC), is confident the club can turn around its season as the Ghana Premier League enters the second half.

Despite a challenging start, the Porcupine Warriors sit second in the table with 30 points after 16 matches, having lost only twice. Appiah, who currently serves as Sudan’s head coach, believes the team is steadily improving.

“I’m part of the IMC, and we thank God they’re also picking up. It won’t be easy, especially in the second round of the league, so I am hoping that we try to pick up,” he said.

“Last season, during the second round, some of the players had just come to the team and needed time, and that is one of the key problems we always have.

“And sometimes, we don’t have patients, but I understand they’re now picking up slowly. I hope the second round they’re able to play and everyone who supports Kotoko back home gets happy,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Reds have strengthened their squad with the signing of midfielder Prince Badu from Nations FC.

Riding a three-match unbeaten streak, Asante Kotoko will face Swedru All Blacks in Matchday 17 at the Swedru Stadium.
