Asante Kotoko have officially signed central defender Zackaria Fuseini.
The experienced centre-back joins the Porcupine Warriors from Berekum Chelsea on a three-year contract.
After his unveiling, Fuseini expressed excitement about the move, stating:
“I’m honoured to be joining Asante Kotoko. I believe this is the platform I’ve always hoped for to catapult my career to the next level.
“My focus is to win laurels with the club and to work hard for a place in the Black Stars, because I know I’m good enough.
“Some say this move is a few years late, but I don’t believe that. I’m arriving mature and experienced, and I’m ready to handle the pressure that comes with playing for such a big club,” he added.
Fuseini featured in 133 matches for Berekum Chelsea.
The former Black Meteors defender also had a brief stint abroad with Spain’s San Fernando CD, where he gained valuable international experience.
He joins new teammates Francis Acquah, Joseph Owusu Oppong, and Hubert Gyau, who have all been signed ahead of the upcoming season.
