Arsenal in talks to extend Thomas Partey’s contract

-

Arsenal have confirmed that negotiations are underway to extend Thomas Partey’s contract, which is set to expire on June 30.

The announcement follows the club’s confirmation that four senior players will depart at the end of the month as part of a broader squad reshuffle.

Partey, who joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020, has been linked with several clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia.

Despite speculation over his future, the Ghana midfielder played a key role this past season, making 52 appearances in all competitions—his highest tally since joining the Gunners, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

In a club statement, Arsenal addressed the status of players with contracts ending next year, including Partey.

“The following players’ contracts also expire on June 30, 2025. Discussions are ongoing, and once matters are finalised between all parties, we will communicate in due course. Chloe Kelly, Thomas Partey, Michal Rosiak.”

Alongside Partey’s uncertain future, Arsenal also confirmed the exits of senior players Raheem Sterling, Kieran Tierney, Neto, and Jorginho as preparations for the 2025/26 season continue.
