Apam SHS places second at 2025 World Robofest Championships

Apam Senior High School (SHS) has made Ghana proud by placing second in the Time Trial Senior BottleSumo Classic at the prestigious 2025 World Robofest Championships.

The Michigan Team (MI), USA, emerged winners of the keenly contested tournament.

The talented students represented Ghana on the world stage, showcasing their exceptional skills in robotics.

The Apam SHS team, made up of Gabriel Kofi Nkunim Acquah, Joseph Nyameyie, Acquah Elvis Ghartey, and Lordina Yeboah, excelled after a rigorous competition against other schools from around the globe.

Before heading to the world championships, the team won the national-level competition in Ghana, proving their prowess in robotics.

Apam SHS, alongside Right to Dream Academy and Our Lady of Grace (OLAG), represented Ghana at the 2025 World Robofest Championships.

Their achievement stands as a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the support of the Ghana Education Service.

Now back in Ghana, the team’s success is expected to inspire other students to explore robotics and STEM education.

The students expressed their gratitude to the headmistress, Mrs. Comfort Essah Amoaful, the Old Students of Apam Senior High School (ASSOSA), and the Parent Association for their immense support.
