
AOW Energy 2025 opened on Tuesday night with a high-level gala at the Presidency, attended by over 450 distinguished guests from government, industry, and the investment community.
Held in partnership with ExxonMobil and GNPC Ghana, the event marked the start of a week dedicated to advancing Africa’s upstream and natural resource development.
Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang hosted the evening, welcoming guests and declaring the event the beginning of “a new dawn of partnership between the Government of Ghana and AOW: Energy.” She highlighted Ghana’s commitment to leveraging its natural resources as a catalyst for growth, prosperity, and regional cooperation.
ExxonMobil’s senior delegation delivered a keynote address, reaffirming the company’s long-standing presence in Africa and its commitment to exploration, production growth, and local partnerships that enhance energy security and development.
The celebration also paid tribute to GNPC Ghana’s 40th Anniversary, marking four decades as the nation’s flagship energy institution. Guests applauded GNPC’s contributions to advancing Ghana’s upstream sector and supporting socio-economic development.
