Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that new signing Antoine Semenyo will be involved in Saturday’s FA Cup third-round clash against Exeter City at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Guardiola revealed the Ghanaian winger is fit and available as City look to secure passage into the next round of the world’s oldest cup competition.

However, the City boss stopped short of confirming whether Semenyo will start or begin the game on the bench.

“He’ll be selected,” said Guardiola. “I don’t know if he’ll start, but he’ll be selected for sure.”

Semenyo recently completed a £64 million move to the reigning Premier League champions from AFC Bournemouth.

The 25-year-old made a strong impression in his final outing for the Cherries, playing a key role in their thrilling 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur before sealing his transfer.

The deal includes an initial £62.5 million fee, with a further £1.5 million in performance-related add-ons.

Bournemouth have also secured a 10 per cent sell-on clause on any future profit from the winger’s sale.
