Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has described his Premier League Player of the Month triumph for February 2026 as a “brilliant moment” in his career.

The 26-year-old, who completed a £64 million move from AFC Bournemouth during the January transfer window, was presented with the accolade on Friday after an impressive start to life at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the Ghana international expressed pride at making an immediate impact under manager Pep Guardiola.

“This is a brilliant moment for me. To win the Premier League Player of the Month award so soon after joining City is something I’ll never forget,” Semenyo said.

“My focus now is on continuing to improve and helping City achieve the best possible results. We have so much to play for, and I am really excited about this final period of the season.”

Semenyo enjoyed a productive February, scoring three goals and registering one assist in five appearances as City continued their push for the title. His contributions included crucial goals against Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham, and Leeds United.

By claiming the monthly prize, Semenyo becomes the first Manchester City player other than Erling Haaland to win the award in more than four years.

He also joins a select group of Ghanaian players to receive the honour, following former stars Tony Yeboah and Andre Ayew.

After beating competition from the likes of Virgil van Dijk and City teammate Nico O’Reilly, Semenyo credited his quick adaptation to the support of his new teammates.

He will look to maintain his impressive form when Manchester City face West Ham United this weekend.
