Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo is setting his sights on an even more impactful season with AFC Bournemouth, following a standout 2024/25 campaign.
The 24-year-old enjoyed his most productive season yet, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists to help the Cherries finish ninth in the Premier League with 56 points — their best-ever top-flight finish.
Speaking to the club’s media team, Semenyo hinted at ambitious personal goals for the upcoming season.
“I feel like doing better than I did last year is the target for me, so I’m still going to keep my target close to my chest. But I’m hoping by the end of the season, I would have completed that,” Semenyo said.
The Ghanaian forward has continued his fine form into preseason, playing a key role in Bournemouth’s convincing 3-0 win over Everton in the ongoing Premier League Summer Series in the United States. The match took place at the MetLife Stadium over the weekend.
Semenyo is expected to feature again when Bournemouth face Manchester United on Thursday at 01:00 GMT.
In a further boost for the Cherries, the club recently confirmed that Semenyo has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the Vitality Stadium until 2030.
