Antoine Semenyo and Mohammed Salisu have withdrawn from the Black Stars squad after picking up injuries ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against South Korea.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed their departures in a statement issued on Sunday, noting that both players were ruled out after medical assessments revealed varying levels of damage.
Semenyo, who captained Ghana in the 2025 Kirin Challenge Cup defeat to Japan last Friday, has been diagnosed with a left anterior talo-fibular ligament sprain.
The Bournemouth striker aggravated the injury during the match and has since returned to his club for further treatment.
Salisu, meanwhile, has been sidelined with a bilateral medial collateral ligament sprain. The setback was jointly confirmed by AS Monaco’s medical staff and the Black Stars’ doctors.

Their exits, coupled with Francis Abu’s earlier injury, leave Otto Addo with 19 players available for the clash against South Korea on Tuesday, November 18 at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul, with kick-off scheduled at 10:00 am.
Despite the setbacks, Ghana will be pushing to close out the international window on a positive note.
