All is set for the highly anticipated Ampofo Adjei Lives Concert, which comes off tonight at the Eleanor Akufo-Addo Memorial Social Centre in Asante Mampong.
The 2025 edition of the annual event is being led by the Ampofo Adjei Band, under the direction of Nana Osei Ampofo Adjei, son of the late legendary musician Akwasi Ampofo Adjei (AAA).
The concert, which has been held over the years by the renowned multimedia journalist and Adom TV/Adom FM presenter, is aimed at honouring the enduring legacy of his late father, one of Ghana’s most celebrated highlife musicians.
This year’s event promises an electrifying night of music and entertainment, with performances expected from top Ghanaian musicians including Ofori Amponsah, Pat Thomas, Kakyire Kwame Appiah, and Ali Baba Foster.
Popular Kumawood actors, including the well-known Ship Dealer, will also grace the occasion, adding excitement to the night.
As part of activities leading up to the concert, a free health screening exercise was organised on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, for residents of Asante Mampong. The initiative aimed at helping community members check their health status and improve their overall well-being.
The Ampofo Adjei Lives Concert is expected to attract a large crowd, as music lovers gather to celebrate highlife music, culture, and the lasting legacy of Akwasi Ampofo Adjei.
