The eighth season of Adom TV’s Nsoromma has come to a spectacular close, with Kobby emerging as the overall winner after 13 weeks of auditions, intense performances, judges’ assessments and public voting.

The grand finale, held at the West Hills Mall, brought together music lovers, industry players and supporters for a celebration of Ghana’s rich musical heritage.

The event featured electrifying performances from the finalists, as well as appearances by legendary Ghanaian musicians who added colour and excitement to the memorable night.

Kobby secured the ultimate prize after beating stiff competition from the other finalists to lift the coveted Nsoromma Season 8 trophy.

For his triumph, Kobby received a GH¢30,000 cash prize, an all-expenses-paid tour package from Kenya to Dubai, products from the show’s sponsors and a certificate of participation.

Selorm The Wonder emerged as the first runner-up and was rewarded with GH¢20,000, a laptop, sponsor products from brands including Lavonce, Franko, Yumvita, Kivo, Didi Shito, Standard Mineral Water and Oba Spaghetti, as well as a certificate of participation.

Ghana Besiaba placed third overall as the second runner-up, receiving GH¢15,000, sponsor products and a certificate of participation.

Soft Lyf secured the fourth position as the third runner-up, earning GH¢10,000, sponsor products and a certificate of participation.

The grand finale was also marked by electrifying collaborations between the finalists and some of Ghana’s celebrated musicians.

Highlife sensation Bisa Kdei thrilled patrons with a captivating performance of some of his biggest hits, including Metanfo, Odo Carpenter, Jwe, Brother Brother and Mansa, drawing loud cheers from the audience.

In a celebration of Ghanaian highlife, veteran musician Aboagye DaCosta teamed up with eventual winner Kobby for a captivating performance that highlighted the beauty and richness of the indigenous genre.

Veteran highlife musician Kofi Bentil joined Ghana Besiaba to perform the evergreen classic Passenger, taking patrons on a nostalgic musical journey.

Legendary musician Amandzeba Nat Brew shared the stage with Ohemaa Doris for a stirring rendition of his timeless hit Biakoye, while Selorm The Wonder partnered Samuel Owusu to perform Abusua Kyirika to the admiration of the audience.

Pozo Hayes and Iron Girl delivered an energetic performance of Akeka Akeka, blending experience with youthful talent in one of the night’s standout moments.

Highlife star Adane Best joined Safowaa for a memorable rendition of Sisi Maame, popularly known as Pene So, as Soft Lyf teamed up with veteran musician Ben Brako for an impressive performance that showcased the beauty of intergenerational collaboration.

Adding a spiritual touch to the evening, gospel musician Francis Amo ministered through song with a soul-lifting performance that drew heartfelt applause and appreciation from patrons.

After 13 weeks of discovering and nurturing young musical talents, the successful climax of Nsoromma Season 8 once again reinforced the programme’s reputation as one of Ghana’s leading platforms for grooming the next generation of music stars.
