The Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Africa Awards didn’t just honour greatness this year, they turned Accra into the heartbeat of African entertainment.

What was expected to be a glamorous awards night evolved into a full-blown musical spectacle, one that electrified the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) and reminded Ghanaians why the EMYs remain unmatched.

The night’s soundtrack was powered by a star-studded lineup that felt like a greatest-hits playlist of Ghanaian music royalty.

Joe Mettle delivered a calm, spirit-filled performance that brought a soft worship moment to the night. His vocals were steady and instantly lifted the room.

Samini’s entrance alone drew a roar. Backed by a full live band, he opened with a medley of his biggest hits. . His trademark ability to get the crowd moving was on full display.

Adina delivered a polished performance that paid tribute to the legacy of the late Daddy Lumba. Her rendition of ‘Makramo’ and other hits showcased her breath control and emotive delivery.

Ofori Amponsah’s appearance became one of the defining moments of the night. The hall shifted the second his band struck the first chord and he reminded patrons why he’s nicknamed unmistakably ‘Mr. All 4 Real’.

Efya delivered a stunning, soul-stirring performance, letting her powerhouse vocals steal the spotlight. Her smooth transitions and emotional depth held the entire audience in quiet admiration.


KiDi brought an entirely different flavour; sleek, stylish with a touch of irresistibly modern Afrobeats charm. He served silky vocals and smooth choreography, drawing loud cheers from the younger audience.

The first half of the event belonged to Ghana’s most gifted vocalists, setting a refined mood for the awards that followed.
