Adom TV’s annual Ena Pa Ye celebration once again shone the spotlight on the remarkable contributions of women—this time with a special focus on one of the most hardworking groups in society: market women.
Held in grand style, the 2025 edition paid glowing tribute to these resilient mothers whose daily efforts go beyond trading. They nurture families, fuel the economy, and hold communities together through their strength and sacrifice.
The event kicked off with an exciting cooking competition among selected market women, turning the spotlight on their culinary creativity. It wasn’t just a contest—it was a celebration of heritage, as the women turned simple ingredients into mouthwatering dishes, showcasing the rich cultural flavors of Ghanaian cuisine.
The atmosphere was lifted by the soulful performance of rising star Selassie Brown, whose voice set a touching and uplifting tone for the day. Not long after, Queen Derby stormed the stage with a fiery performance that had everyone—from special guests to the market queens—on their feet, dancing in celebration of womanhood.
Gospel icon Mama Esther brought a spirit-filled presence to the celebration, moving many to tears with her powerful praise and worship. Her songs added a layer of reverence and reflection to the event, honoring the faith and endurance of the women being celebrated.
The grand finale belonged to legendary highlife artiste K.K. Fosu, whose timeless hits brought the show to a thrilling climax.
The energy was electric, the dance floor packed, and the mood jubilant as his music wrapped the day in pure joy.
As a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, each of the honored market women received thoughtful gifts and hampers courtesy of generous sponsors including Franko Phones, ATL Fabrics, Tasty Tom Tomato Paste, DBS Industries, Levon 2 Feminine Wash, Kivo, and many more. Their contributions ensured the women felt pampered, respected, and truly appreciated.
This year’s Ena Pa Ye was more than just a celebration—it was a reminder that behind every thriving community are mothers and market women who give their all. It was a day filled with emotion, unity, laughter, and love.
