Gov’t committed to development and tourism promotion – Akyemansa DCE assures

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Akyemansa, Linda Ahenkorah, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to driving development across districts and enhancing tourism in the Eastern Region.

She specifically pledged to complete a tourism site project in Akyem Etwereso, which was initiated under the previous administration.

Speaking at the colourful enstoolment ceremony of Nana Osei Afrifa—CEO of Afrifanom Group—as Twafohene of the Odau Traditional Area (with the stool name Baffuor Osei Afrifa), Ms. Ahenkorah highlighted the government’s resolve to advance national development and called on residents to support these efforts.

The ceremony, presided over by Daasebre Ofosu Kwabi Ayebiahwe, Chief of Akyem Etwereso, was attended by key government officials, including Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Works and Housing Minister Francis Asenso-Boakye, Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, and Employment and Labour Relations Minister Ignatius Baffour-Awuah.

Daasebre Ofosu Kwabi Ayebiahwe used the occasion to appeal to the government for support in completing critical community infrastructure projects—including a hospital and a police station—that have stalled due to funding challenges.
