The newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Akyem Oda, Kwadwo Ampaabeng Asimeng, has pledged to embark on a reconciliation drive to unite all candidates who contested the party’s internal elections as part of efforts to strengthen the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Chairman Ampaabeng Asimeng said fostering unity among party members is critical to rebuilding a stronger and more cohesive NPP capable of reclaiming power in the next general elections.
According to him, the reconciliation initiative will bring together both successful and unsuccessful candidates, heal divisions that may have emerged during the elections, and encourage members to work collectively towards the party’s shared goal.
He stressed that the party’s success in 2028 would depend on unity, cooperation and the commitment of all members, regardless of the outcome of the internal polls.
Chairman Ampaabeng Asimeng urged party supporters to put the elections behind them and focus on strengthening the constituency to position the NPP for victory in the next national elections.
Meanwhile, some of the newly elected constituency executives also underscored the importance of unity, discipline and teamwork in rebuilding the party.
They called on party members to set aside their differences, remain committed to the ideals of the NPP and work together to help the party recapture power in 2028.
