Akufo-Addo, NPP gurus visit Nana Konadu’s family to commiserate with them [Video]

Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has paid a visit to the family of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to express his condolences following her passing.

He was accompanied by his wife, former First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, along with former Chief of Staff Frema Opare, former Interior Minister Ambrose Dery, Bantama MP Francis Asenso-Boakye, and former Transport Minister Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, among others.

Founder of Danquah Institute, Gabby Otchere-Darko and Member of Parliament for Damongo, Samuel Abu Jinapor were also present.

Akufo-Addo also signed the book of condolence opened in honour of Nana Konadu.

Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, celebrated for her pioneering work in advancing women’s rights through the 31st December Women’s Movement, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra after a short illness.



Since the announcement of her death, many Ghanaians from across the political divides have visited her home to sympathise with the bereaved family and pay their respects to the former First Lady’s enduring legacy.

Meanwhile, the Presidency has declared a three-day national mourning in honour of Nana Konadu.
