The families of the late Mrs Ama Adoma Bartels-Kodwo (née Ahwoi) have announced that they are available to receive mourners and sympathisers at her East Legon residence following her passing on Tuesday, 17th June 2025.
In a statement jointly issued by the Ahwoi and Bartels-Kodwo families, they indicated that visits may be made daily between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, and again from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The late Mrs Bartels-Kodwo, remembered as a devoted wife, sister, and mother, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy cherished by all who knew her.
“We welcome all who wish to express their condolences and support during this difficult time,” the statement read.
The residence designated for visits is located at No. 36 Kwakwaranya Street, East Legon, Accra, postal code GA 449 1002.
In addition, the families have announced plans for the one-week observance of her passing.
The event will take place at the Police Church in Accra on Tuesday, 24th June 2025, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
The service is expected to bring together family, friends, and well-wishers who will gather to honour her memory and offer prayers.
The Ahwoi and Bartels-Kodwo families have expressed their deep appreciation for the outpouring of love and support since the announcement of Mrs Bartels-Kodwo’s passing.
They called on all who knew her to join in the week-long period of reflection and consolation.
“Your presence and prayers mean a great deal to us as we come to terms with our loss,” the families said.
