The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahafo Region will present a united front in the 2028 general elections to help the party regain power, former Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi North, Joseph Daha, has said.
According to him, the unity demonstrated by party members before, during and after the recent regional executive elections is a clear indication that the NPP is becoming more focused on rebuilding and working together ahead of the 2028 polls.
Speaking to Adom News at Goaso during the party’s regional executive elections, Mr Daha said unity remained the key to the NPP’s return to government.
He urged members to prioritise unity and put aside their differences to strengthen the party ahead of the next general elections.
“Only unity can bring the party back to power, so we must prioritise it and hold it in high esteem,” he said.

Meanwhile, a patron of the NPP in the Ahafo Region, Dr Kwabena Bempah Tandoh, said the party’s Council of Elders and patrons would immediately begin engaging all candidates who contested the various regional executive positions, regardless of whether they won or lost.
He said the engagements would be aimed at fostering reconciliation and ensuring that all members work together towards a common objective.
Dr Tandoh expressed confidence that a united NPP would be able to reclaim the parliamentary seats in Asutifi North, Tano South and Asunafo North, which the party lost to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 general elections.
He said the party’s focus must now be on strengthening its internal structures and mobilising its members to improve its electoral fortunes in 2028.
