The campus of Agogo Presbyterian Women’s College of Education is in an emotional stir as the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) makes a heartfelt appeal to the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Right Reverend Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, to intervene and prevent their beloved Principal, Rev. Dr. Grace Sintim Adasi, from leaving the institution.
In a passionate petition, the SRC expressed deep gratitude for the Moderator’s spiritual leadership and stewardship over the church’s institutions, urging him to act against what they describe as a “devastating loss” to the college community.
Speaking on behalf of the student body, SRC Secretary Alice Gyamfua said, “The sudden resignation of Rev. Dr. Adasi has sent shockwaves across campus. Students and staff alike are gripped with anxiety, fearing the vacuum her departure would create.”
The petition highlighted Rev. Dr. Adasi’s transformative leadership, noting that her tenure has fostered stability, academic progress, and unity within the college. The SRC insisted that her departure at this critical moment would disrupt the momentum she has worked tirelessly to build.
“We respectfully appeal to your revered office to kindly engage our mother and leader, and encourage her to reconsider this resignation,” the SRC pleaded. “Her continued presence is essential for the welfare, continuity, and growth of our beloved institution.”
Students remain hopeful that, with the Moderator’s guidance and intervention, Rev. Dr. Adasi will be persuaded to stay and continue leading the college to greater heights. The campus now waits anxiously for the Moderator’s response, united in their support for their Principal.
