The Adwoa Safo Foundation has donated assorted food and household items to the Hopeway Ministries Orphanage as part of its annual Christmas support initiative.
The items included 15 cartons of malt drinks, three cartons of Milo, three cartons of Ideal Milk, five bags of rice, 12 packets of biscuits, six packets of toilet rolls, 30 bags of sachet water, and 10 packets of plantain chips.
Presenting the donation, the founder of the Adwoa Safo Foundation and former Member of Parliament for Dome/Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, explained that the initiative is part of the foundation’s yearly Christmas outreach to support and uplift the children during the festive season.

She noted that this year’s donation was delayed due to a personal bereavement following the passing of her father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo. Despite the delay, she reaffirmed her commitment to the orphanage, encouraging the children to stay focused, disciplined, and dedicated to their education.

Adwoa Safo also highlighted that the foundation runs several programmes throughout the year, including the ASF Pad a Child Foundation, the ASF Leadership and Mentoring Programme, and the ASF Educational Material Support Programme, all aimed at empowering vulnerable groups and promoting education and leadership development.

Speaking on behalf of the orphanage, Director Rev. Randolph Ashley expressed profound gratitude to Adwoa Safo for her consistent support. He praised her commitment to the home and called on the public to extend help to the children in need.

Rev. Ashley disclosed that the orphanage is currently constructing a library for the children and appealed for assistance to complete the project. He also urged individuals and organisations to support the home with items such as dustbins to improve sanitation.
Hopeway Ministries caters to about 30 children, including those who are needy, persons living with disabilities, and vulnerable children from surrounding communities who visit the home for meals.
