Aduana FC confirm death of two fans after severe accident, others in critical condition

Aduana FC has expressed deep sorrow following the death of two supporters in a tragic accident at Aboabo in Kumasi on Sunday evening, shortly after the club’s Premier League encounter with Asante Kotoko.

According to the club, the incident occurred when a tricycle transporting fans veered off the road and crashed at Aboaso in the Ashanti Region.

In a statement issued on Monday, November 17, 2026, Aduana FC confirmed the fatalities and described the incident as heartbreaking.

“We regret to announce that two of the fans have lost their lives and two others are currently on admission… We wish the bereaved families strength and empathy, and those on admission a speedy recovery,” the club said.

The injured supporters, who remain in critical condition, are receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

Sunday’s league match at the Baba Yara Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw.

Aduana FC assured the public that it is in close contact with the affected families and will provide updates as more details emerge.
