Aduana FC head coach Cioaba Aristica has praised his players for a disciplined and tactical display that earned them a narrow but crucial victory over Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League.
The two-time champions edged past their hosts with a 1–0 win in the Matchday 14 encounter at the Kpando Sports Stadium, bringing an end to Heart of Lions’ impressive unbeaten home run.
Patrick Mensah’s decisive strike proved enough for the Ogya Boys to secure all three points, a result that has propelled Aduana FC to the top of the league table.
Speaking after the match, the Romanian tactician commended his players for executing the game plan with confidence and unity.
“I see the confidence from the players, and I told them that if we respect the tactics, we can pick all three points. Congratulations to the players for trusting the plan and going on to win the game,” Aristica said.
“Aduana FC is working as a group, and the players understand what we need in the game. I’m happy about this win. The match was very tactical, and it was very good,” he added.
The victory takes Aduana FC to 27 points from 14 matches, one point clear at the top of the table, although second-placed Medeama still have a game in hand.
Aristica will now shift focus to Matchday 15, where Aduana FC host Hearts of Oak at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park, as they aim to extend their impressive run of form.
