Former Deputy Transport Minister and Member of Parliament for Tema East, Titus Nii Kwartei Glover, has criticised the circumstances surrounding the detention of former Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) Board Chairman, Paul Adom-Otchere, describing the development as “unfair and unjust.”

Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Mr Glover questioned why Adom-Otchere was the only individual targeted in the ongoing investigation into a revenue assurance contract between GACL and a private firm.

“There is no money missing; they only mentioned a revenue shortfall. Why did they decide to pick only the board chairman?” he asked.

The outspoken MP also raised concerns about the bail conditions imposed by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), alleging that the process is now being weaponised.

“It looks like some institutions of state, including the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), are now using bail as a weapon to suppress people,” he asserted.

According to him, the stringent bail conditions were politically motivated.

“Just because some people don’t like his broadcast and analysis, they want to suppress him. It’s unfair and unjust,” he added.

Mr Adom-Otchere was invited by the OSP over alleged irregularities in the awarding of a contract that reportedly lacked full board approval during his tenure. He was released from custody on August 2, 2025, after initially failing to meet the bail conditions.
