Greater Accra regional chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Ade Coker, has descended on former Member of Parliament for Adentan, Emmanuel Ashie Moore for accusing executives of squandering a GHC 8.4 billion developmental fees for the party.
Emmanuel Ashie Moore had asked the leadership to account for a GHC 8.4 billion cedis it took from some MP aspirants ahead of the 2016 elections.

But Mr Ade Coker says the development fund was suspended by General Secretary of the party, Asiedu Nketiah.
He said only ten people had paid the said dues prior to its suspension, adding that those monies have been lodged in the party’s account at the headquarters.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosii Sen’ programme Thursday, Mr Coker wondered why Mr. Ashie Moore would make such damning allegations against his person.

“We initiated the development fund and people kicked against it so the General Secretary asked us to suspend the fund and only charge filing fees which we did. Even that, only ten people paid. Six people paid 10,000 and 4 people paid 5,000. That money was meant for the running of the party and so I wonder why a person wanting to become a party chairman will lie his way to becoming one,” he said.
“On the issue of vehicles, the man who gave us the vehicles to run the campaign later requested for his vehicles back; it was not a gift as he is claiming,” he explained.
He also accused Mr Ashie Moore of lying to get to the top.
