Chief Adamu Hamani, Public Relations Officer for Alhaji Ali Muniru, has urged the youth of Ho Central Zongo to prioritize peace and community development amid recent clashes at the Ho Central Mosque.
He has also called on security agencies and traditional authorities to step in promptly to restore calm and ensure lasting peace in the area.
“The intervention of the relevant authorities will help address the leadership dispute and prevent further disturbances,” he said.
Speaking to Adom News, Hamani expressed concern over confrontations involving masked gunmen and some sections of the Zongo youth, which reportedly arose from disputes over the Volta Regional Chief Imamship leadership.
Describing the incident as unfortunate and counterproductive, Hamani emphasized that violence undermines both unity and progress within the community.
He encouraged the youth to resolve disagreements through dialogue and lawful channels.
