Newly appointed Eleven Wonders head coach Emmanuel Aidoo has acknowledged the challenges of taking charge of the struggling side.
Aidoo assumed the role following the departures of Nii Odartey Lamptey and J.E. Sarpong, who left the club amid internal issues. Since his arrival, he has guided Eleven Wonders to their first FA Cup victory and secured their first Premier League win of the season with a 2-0 triumph over Dreams FC on Monday during Matchday 12.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Aidoo admitted that keeping the club in the top flight is a major responsibility.
“I’ve been tasked to ensure that Eleven Wonders does not get relegated, but I must say that accepting the challenge to coach Eleven Wonders was a risk,” he said.
He also confirmed that players’ salaries are up to date.
“As far as I know, the Eleven Wonders players have been paid their monthly salaries,” Aidoo added.
Currently anchored at the bottom of the league table with six points, Eleven Wonders will face Swedru All Blacks on Sunday in Matchday 13.
