Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scores a stunner as Leicester City cruise over Swansea CIty

Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was on target as Leicester City secured an impressive 3-1 away win over Swansea City in the English Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Playing at the Swansea.com Stadium, Leicester took an early lead in the 13th minute through Jordan James, heading into the break with a narrow advantage.

Swansea drew level in the 70th minute thanks to Adam Idah’s composed finish, but Fatawu Issahaku restored the Foxes’ lead just seven minutes later with a thunderous strike from the edge of the box, his third goal of the season.

The 20-year-old, who recently returned from a long-term ACL injury, nearly doubled his tally moments later when his powerful effort crashed off the crossbar.

The victory lifted Leicester to third place in the table, ending a frustrating run of four consecutive draws and reigniting their promotion push.

Fatawu’s impressive form arrives at a crucial moment for Ghana, as he has been named in Otto Addo’s 24-man squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros later this month.
