Asante Kotoko interim head coach Prince Yaw Owusu has expressed satisfaction with his team’s goalless draw against Aduana FC in their Matchday 27 clash.
The Porcupine Warriors travelled to the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park on Sunday, where they were held to a 0-0 result in a tightly contested encounter.
Speaking after the game, Owusu praised the effort of his players, insisting the point earned was valuable in the context of the match.
“Although we didn’t win, I think the boys did their best, and their best has given us the one point. We appreciate that more than losing it all,” he said.
The result leaves Asante Kotoko in third place on the Ghana Premier League table with 43 points, six adrift of leaders Medeama SC.
With six matches remaining in the campaign, the Kumasi-based side will turn their attention to their next fixture against FC Samartex at the Baba Yara Stadium this weekend, as they continue their pursuit of the league title.
