Firefighters have contained a blaze that broke out at a four-bedroom self-contained apartment at Amasaman Three Junction near Marion Hotel in the Greater Accra Region.
Personnel from the Amasaman Fire Station arrived at the scene after one of the rooms had been engulfed in flames.
In a Facebook post, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said the fire was brought under control at 3:48 p.m. before firefighters finally extinguished it at 4:02 p.m.
Their intervention prevented the flames from spreading to the remaining sections of the apartment, saving three bedrooms and their contents from destruction.
The affected room, however, suffered significant damage, with a television set, air conditioner and other personal belongings burnt in the incident.
The GNFS said no deaths or injuries were recorded.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established and remains under investigation.
