Asante Kotoko and Debibi United have been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for allegedly failing to publish video highlights of their Ghana Premier League match within the stipulated period.
The GFA announced on Tuesday that both clubs have been charged with breaching Article 38(8)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2025, following their league fixture at Golden City Park in Berekum.
According to the charge sheet, the clubs are alleged to have failed to publish highlights of the match within 48 hours after the game, a requirement under the league’s regulations aimed at improving the visibility and accessibility of domestic football content.
The latest action forms part of the GFA’s efforts to enforce compliance with regulations introduced to enhance the promotion of the Ghana Premier League through digital and media platforms.
Kotoko and Debibi United have been given until Friday, 11 September 2026, to respond to the charges.
Should the clubs be found guilty, they could face sanctions in line with the league’s disciplinary framework.
The case is the latest regulatory action taken by the GFA during the opening stages of the 2026-27 Ghana Premier League season as the governing body seeks to ensure strict adherence to competition rules by all participating clubs.
Neither Asante Kotoko nor Debibi United had publicly commented on the charges at the time of writing.
